Programming

Effective environmental peacebuilding programming is crucial in conflict-affected contexts, as land, forests, water, and other resources play critical roles in efforts. Practices and knowledge on this topic are crucial to gain a better understanding of the ways in which activities ranging from establishing a national park to creating livelihoods can incorporate environmental considerations to achieve their objectives.Environmental peacebuilding actors needs to understand and incorporate conflict considerations in their M&E programming. Thus, practitioners involved in environmental peacebuilding activities, need to extend their efforts across programming, planning, policy, coordination. Hence, it is essential to address the complex socio-cultural and conflict-related challenges and to ensure that the programming objectives are achieved successfully in environmental peacebuilding efforts.
